Romanian charity Ovidiu Rom and the US – based charity Alex Fund will organize a fund raising gala dinner in New York, on August 14. The event will take place at the Montgomery Place, in Annandale-on-Hudson, starting 5,30 PM.

The event, which will be held in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) New York, will include a discussion about the literature before and after 1989 by Romanian writer, Bard professor and MacArthur fellow Norman Manea. The evening will also include a surprise celebirty entertainment moment and a silent auction.

The evening committee is made of Raluca Gold, Elena Buruiana, Aspasia Machairas, Michelle Corbin – Hillman, Elizabeth Varabiev, Valentina Pelinel, Gabriela Willingham and Wendy Phillips Khan.
