Owner of famous Bucharest restaurant La Cocosatu commits suicide
The owner of famous Bucharest restaurant La Cocosatu, Ioan Oita, took his own life on Monday, according to the Romanian Police. Oita, who ran the restaurant north of Bucharest, had a debt of EUR 1 million, even though the restaurant was very popular, according to Romanian media. His employees found him dead in an annex of the restaurant, after he hanged himself.
La Cocosatu, located in Baneasa area of Bucharest, is famous for its minced meat 'mici.' The name of the restaurant (which translates as the Hunchback) comes from the chef, who suffers from the condition.
