(P) How to REALLY stop smoking, come next year

15 December 2011

Next week, next month, next year. There’s always a “next” around the corner, waiting for you to make the best decision of your life. And yet how come so many “next-s” have passed and you’re still putting out that last cigarette over and over again?

That happens out of fear. Smokers live their lives torn between all sorts of fears: fear of not ever being happy again, without smoking; fear of getting bored to death without smoking; fear of not being able to handle stress without smoking, and so on. While these fears are completely understandable when we’re facing the dark hallway of drug addiction, they are rooted in a whole bunch of myths and illusions that we don’t doubt and question as much as we should.

The truth is, everybody has the ability to get free. The reason why people find that difficult is because we’ve been brainwashed with preposterous myths, such as: “you need willpower to quit smoking”, “smoking is a habit”, “we smoke because we enjoy the gesture” or “it’s difficult to stop smoking”. Every day, thousands of people that stop smoking using Allen Carr’s method prove them wrong.

The Easyway method is well… that easy, because it manages to bust these myths by simply opening people’s mind to the beauty of a little something called: reality. Despite the fact that everybody arrives at the sessions with their bags full of fears and scares, during the sessions their minds open and they start understanding the truth. So much so, that their discoveries turn into real-life revelations.

“It’s wonderful to see people open their minds right under your eyes. It truly is an amazing process both for them and for the therapist. One extremely popular myth is particularly dear to people: the need of willpower to quit smoking. It is, by far, the most dangerous of them all, because it manages to perpetuate, by itself, a wide variety of fears. In a nutshell, people are terrified of using their willpower, because they’ve heard all sorts of horror stories regarding the so-called willpower success: people who still crave cigarettes, 20 years later, people who went through excruciating withdrawal pangs and who put on many kilos etc. Allen Carr’s method is totally against the use of willpower and we will prove to you during the session that quitting smoking is in fact an enjoyable process, with no bad “side effects” and that willpower must at all times be avoided.” (Diana Vasiliu, licensed therapist Allen Carr’s Easyway Romania)

The famous live sessions based on Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking method have been available in Romania for almost a year. At the same time, each month, the clinic in Bucharest holds special session in English, for the English community in Romania. Book a seat today for the first session of 2012, on January 14th and really stop smoking, next year.
