(P) New lobby for the Novotel Hotel in Bucharest - a concept by Studio Insign

26 November 2015

Novotel Bucharest City Centre, located in the center of the city is a 4-star hotel and a unique blend of classical and modern architecture.

The new Novotel lobby space in Bucharest is an original Studio Insign concept. Our architects and interior designers worked together in order to rethink a place to mingle and socialize, taking to the next level a space where, until now, travelers simply passed through. The project has been shortlisted in the International Hotel and Property Awards 2016.

From the chromatic point of view, we have used warm colors that reflect a comfortable gathering place and a few tonnes of blue-magenta to add a fresh, young look to the space.

The whole concept is built around curved lines and organic elements that float and work together perfectly in an unitary modern space. The furniture and lighting pieces signed by Patricia Urquiola, Ferruccio Laviani, Konstantin Grcic and Hee Welling completes the interior design of this space in an original way.

The main attraction of the design is the central space. We chose key furniture pieces that are comfortable and inviting. At the same time, the guests can socialize and discover some other aspects of the design elements such as the lighting accessories.

Every aspect - carpeting, the carefully chosen pieces of furniture created by top designers and the wonderful lighting should add to the experience and take the guests to a highly functional room that engages all senses. This way, people can communicate and feel good in an inviting space.

Studio Insign brings together a team of experienced architects & interior designers that most of all want to make their mark in every project meeting at the same time the clients needs & personality. We are all different yet we work so well together, having the passion and creativity that drives us to take on big projects and share them with the world.
