(P) The word of the year in business is integrity
THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE „INTEGRITY IN BUSINESS: Key for sustainable and long term prosperity”, 27-29 November 2013, Hotel Intercontinental, Bucharest
Are you growing tired of not being considered trustworthy by your clients, partners and investors because of the swindlers who bring shame to the business community and to the name BUSINESSMAN? Are you growing tired of others gaining the things for which you have worked so hard, by using undue influence and dishonest means? Then it means that the moment has arrived to help us clean up the Romanian private sector and to try and isolate the bad seed from the rest.
As a solution to the growing necessity of creating AN ETHICAL, RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT, Transparency International Romania, along with other organizations which deal with economic cooperation, is organizing this month (i.e. 27-29 November 2013) the international conference “Integrity in Business: Key for sustainable and long term prosperity”. The event is scheduled to last three days, 27-28-29 November, at Hotel Intercontinental in Bucharest, bringing together big names from the business environment both from Romania as well as from abroad, along with representatives from the public administration structure and other relevant stakeholders. They will debate together, within the roundtable sessions scheduled, the best practices and the most efficient solutions which can be used in order to build the integrity climate most necessary for all honest businesses. The panel discussions will concentrate on subjects like: Good Corporate Governance, Lobby vs Advocacy, Responsibility In managing public resources, Reputation and Ethics, Social Responsibility, Stakeholders and Sustainable Development.
Furthermore, apart from generating ideas and strategies indispensable in the process of aligning the Romanian business environment to international standards for ethics, this conference will also have a series of immediate results. Within this international event a series of INTEGRITY PACTS will be presented and signed by representatives of the private sector, civil society, academia, and so on. These documents represent the stepping stone on which social and economic actors will commit to build integrity in the Romanian society from within the systems they belong to.
Among the suporters of the initiative we can name the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Romania, The British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) and the Netherlands Romanian Chamber of Commerce (NRCC)
