Painted eggs, ceramics, workshops and music at the Palm Sunday fair in Bucharest this weekend
Craftsmen from all regions of Romania will bring painted eggs, icons, wood objects, ceramics, textiles, toys, musical instruments, jewelry, and painted furniture at the Palm Sunday fair. The event will be organized at the Peasant Museum (3, Kiseleff street) in Bucharest, between April 6 and April 8, 2012, 10:00.
The fair will also include egg painting demonstrations, design workshops for children, and pan flute, flute, and bagpipe recitals by Romanian instrumentalists.
Tickets cost RON 6, or RON 3 for students and pensioners.
Romania's Easter celebrations follow the typical pattern for Holy Week, beginning with Palm Sunday - the day when tradition holds that Christ entered Jerusalem and ends with Easter Sunday - when Christians celebrate Christ's resurrection.
