Paris - Bucharest flight returns mid-way because of suspect luggage, re-scheduled a day later
An Air France flight from Paris to Bucharest that was supposed to land in Romania last Saturday but returned to Paris one hour after take-off, eventually landed in Bucharest on Sunday, August 3.
The airline said the plane returned to Paris because a passenger was missing, even though his luggage was checked in. After landing back in Paris, anti-terrorism units thoroughly searched the plane.
Passengers spent the night in Paris, all accommodation paid for by Air France. An extra flight was introduced on Sunday to take all passengers back to Bucharest.
