A total of 6.34 million passengers transited Bucharest’s Henri Coanda and Aurel Vlaicu international airports in the first half of this year, up by 7.1% compared to the same period of 2017, according to the Bucharest Airports Company.

Over 64,800 aircraft movements (landings and take offs) were also recorded on the two airports, some 4.8% more than in the first six months of last year.

Most of the activity was concentrated on the Henri Coanda International Airport, which saw 6.33 million passengers and 57,800 aircraft movements.

A total of 49 airlines operate from this airport, transporting passengers to 110 destinations.
