Penny Market opens four new stores in Romania this month
Local retailer Penny Market, owned by the German group Rewe, will open four new stores this month.
One is located in Bucharest and the other three are in Braila, Bacau and Simeria.
The new store in Bucharest was inaugurated yesterday on the Colentina Avenue. It covers 878 sqm and has 14 employees. The other three stores will open by the end of this month.
The new Penny Market store in Braila will cover 2,172 sqm and will employ 30 people. Penny Market Bacau has 1,161 sqm and 16 employees whereas the new unit in Simeria will cover 1,408 sqm and will have 15 employees.
Rewe Romania currently runs 207 Penny Market stores. It has about 4,000 employees. The group plans to open 20-25 new stores in Romania this year.
