People with disabilities to be assisted by guide dogs trained with money from the Romanian state
People with disabilities will be assisted by guide dogs trained via programs funded by the Romanian government,. This has been set via some changes to the law to protect and promote the rights of people with disabilities.
The initiator of the changes is the former Minister of Labor, Arad deputy Claudia Boghicevici, who shows in a statement that the state budget will finance the programs of assistance with trained dogs for people with disabilities, reports local news agency Mediafax.
According to this statement, the changes were approved by the Senate since November 2013, and were approved on Tuesday by the Chamber of Deputies, gathering 377 votes ‘in favor’ and one vote ‘against’.
