People's Palace open days: extended tour during the week-end
If you're staying in Bucharest during the week-end, you might want to spend some time visiting the People's Palace. The Romanian Parliament, which has its headquarters in the People's Palace, is opening for public on May 1st and 2nd. Visitors will be able to see several halls, the Parliament Museum and other areas which are not open to the public as part of the regular tour. Pictures taken during construction works for the People's Palace building will also be on display during the two days. The Chamber of Deputies will also host a traditional music concert during the week-end, as well as a small fair selling traditional Romanian products. The last time the Parliament opened for public, it gathered 20,000 visitors. You can access the People's Palace through the C1 entrance, towards Constitutiei Square.
