Perla Covasnei opens new factory with EUR 5 mln investment

Mineral water bottling company Perla Covasnei has invested EUR 5 million in a new factory in Catalina, Covasna county, while an extra EUR 2 million have been allotted to the development of the distribution network and to its brand awareness.

The new factory covers 15,000 sqm and works with a staff of 11. It delivers around 100,000 bottles of mineral water on a daily basis, which go to a network of 50 distribution companies and retail chains.

Perla Covasnei is part of the Azuga Waters group. It runs the natural resources in Malnas and Catalina. The company sold 9.5 million bottles in 2009 and posted a turnover of around EUR 2.5 million. Last year, it sold 12 million bottles and its turnover grew to EUR 3.2 million.
