Pilot of F-16 jet after flight with Romanian PM: He talked all the time, told me he was feeling great
The American Pilot Dustin "Yoggi" Brown, the pilot of the F-16 which took Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta for a supersonic ride, said that the head of Romania’s government “talked all the time” during the flight.
When asked his thoughts during the flight Ponta, who served as co-pilot, answered: “Yoggi, I feel great, I would like this job,” reports local Mediafax.
“We flew one hour at high altitude, we exceeded the speed of sound and maybe came down to 1,000 km per hour, a low level. We flew in formation with some MIG 21 Lancer and some F-16. The Prime Minister talked all the time, we had a wonderful conversation,” said the pilot, cited by Mediafax.
Victor Ponta was the co-pilot during a demonstrative flight with an F-16 plane. He attended the demonstration flight at Campia Turzii, and arrived there on Thursday morning (April 17) wearing a Romanian Air Forces uniform.
The flight was part of the Romanian – American event Dacian Viper 2014. Six F-16 planes were brought in for this series of training exercises at Campia Turzii, Romania from April 10- 17.
The goal of the exercise was to enhance interoperability and readiness to conduct combined air operations, including air-to-air, air-to-ground, and joint tactical air controller training.
