Piraeus Bank recently launched a new savings plan in gold for Romanian individuals who also want to keep saving money in a RON account, according to the bank.

Via the new hybrid product, investors will be able to buy gold and have the same interest rate as the RON savings account, with the possibility to buy any amount of gold from a gram up.

The bank will automatically convert the RON amount into gold, while the individuals can choose to withdraw gold as bullion or sell it to the bank.

Piraeus Bank has built a network comprising 149 units and serves over 300,000 customers.
