Plaza Centers gets building permit for mall in western Romania
Developer Plaza Centers recently received the building permit for its future commercial center in Timisoara, western Romania. The shopping project is 65% financed by the bank Export-Import Bank PLC, owned by the Hungarian state.
The construction work for the Timisoara Plaza shopping center will kick off this fall and will be completed in the first half of 2017. The mall will have 120 stores, a hypermarket, a fun area and a restaurant area.
The developer hasn’t made public the investment’s value, but the value announced several years ago amounted to EUR 50 million.
Last spring, the company announced that it wanted to build a shopping center on a 32,000-sqm plot in Timisoara.
