PNE Wind works on four build-to-sell wind farms in Romania
German company PNE Wind will finalize four wind farm projects in Romania, which will require EUR 622 million in investment in total. The first such project will be finalized by the end of next year, according to Daniela Dinescu, the company's general manager in Romania, quoted by Mediafax newswire.
The four projects total 366 MW and will be spread around the country. The company is planing to develop the projects up to a certain point and then sell them. PNW Wind Romania owns 326 hectares of land in Moldova, Dobrogea, Banat and Transilvania and plans to buy more land in Bucharest, Constanta, Galati and Mangalia. PNE Wind, listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has built 92 wind parks so far, totaling 770 MW. It is currently working on projects totaling 1,400 MW in Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, UK, Ireland, Romania and Canada.
