Poll shows Romanian PM Ciuca more credible than his Liberal Party
Romanian prime minister Nicolae Ciuca is trusted by 31% of the Romanians. He is thus as popular as the Social Democrat leader Marcel Ciolacu and visibly more popular than his Liberal Party (PNL), according to the latest electoral poll conducted by Avantgarde for the Social Democratic Party (PSD), quoted by Digi24.
A rather unusual question included in the survey shows that, however, the voters would rather invite Ciolacu to dinner than Ciuca (6%). Radical leader George Simion would enjoy more invitations to dinner (11%) than prime minister Ciuca as well.
The poll places PSD in the first place with the support of 36% of the voters. The Liberal Party comes in second place with roughly half the score enjoyed by PSD: 19%. The poll places the radical party AUR (14%) above the reformist party USR (11%), which comes somehow against the trend that indicates a gradual decline of AUR.
