Poll: Romanians watch public television for at least an hour a day
Over 40% of Romania watch the state-owned public TV station TVR for at least an hour a day, according to a poll done by the Group for Socio – Behavioral Group Avangarde in August. The state-owned TV station has ordered this poll in order to adapt its programming strategy to its audience’s preferences.
More than half of the respondents says they trust the news broadcast by the public television, while TVR’s talk shows rank third, outpacing private competitors such as Realitatea TV, B1 TV, Digi 24 and România TV.
Most watched TVR shows are “Once in a lifetime”, an entertainment show with folk music and dance, the TVR News, “Village Life”, which is a show about agriculture and farmers, and Teleenciclopedia – a show which presents various short documentaries and which has been running since 1965.
