The new owner of do-it-yourself retailer Praktiker, Turkish businessman Omer Susli plans to expand the retailer’s operations on the local market in the next two years. He plans to add 18 more Praktiker stores to the current 27, thus targeting a network of 45 units in Romania by 2016, reports local Wall-street.ro.

The strategy will be implemented starting this year, when the businessman plans to open two new stores in Targu-Jiu and Giurgiu.

Praktiker Romania ended the first half of this year with an operational profit of EUR 2.7 million. It also managed to increase sales by about 10% compared to the same period last year.
