Princess Marina Sturdza and the British Ambassador to Romania, Martin Harris are part of the new board of the Vodafone Romania Foundation. The new board, named for two years, also includes Condelina Kilikidis, governmental expert, and Florina Tănase, senior regulatory director, Legal and Corporate Affairs, Vodafone România, Andres Vicente, Chief Commercial Officer, Elena Şerban, director of the Vodafone Foundation and Lidia Solomon, director Corporate Communications of Vodafone Romania.

The board will select and support non-profit projects and organizations. The Foundation, set up in 1998, has launched 600 programs in partnership with 400 NGOs, supporting children, the elderly, victims of natural disasters. The foundation has invested over EUR 13 million in social projects, focusing on health, education, prevention of family abandonment, youth disabilities and elder programs.

Marina Sturdza, descendant of local royalty, grew up in Canada and worked as a journalist and with UNICEF. In the 90s, she returned to Romania, where she is involved in several charity projects.
