Dutch suitcase and travel bag producer Princess Traveller recently entered the Romanian market via an online shop - princesstraveller.gpro.ro, following an investment of some EUR 500,000. The company plans to open a traditional store as well.

Princess Traveller bets on a market niche less targeted by other retailers, that of hard case suitcases.

The Romanian suitcase market was estimated at some EUR 20 million in 2013, according to Luiza Dragomir, brand manager of Princess Traveller. She believes a mid-market segment will be created with the company’s market entry, as the Romanian market features either low – price or luxury suitcases.
