Private healthcare operator MedLife starts own pharmacy chain
Private healthcare operator MedLife will launch its own pharmacy brand this year, Farma Life, according to Mihail Marcu, one of the minority shareholders in the company and the president of its administration board. The first pharmacy will be opened in Grivitei area, and three others will follow in Bucharest by the end of the year. All these pharmacies will be located inside MedLife clinics. Marcu expects to make EUR 2 million in sales for the first year from the company's pharmacy network. MedLife is also planning to make several acquisitions this year to expand its network of clinics. MedLife enters a market which is shared by multiple players, among which the biggest is A&D Pharma, which runs the Sensiblu pharmacy network.
