Producer of pharma capsules invests EUR 10 mln in Bucharest plant
Qualicaps, a manufacturer of capsules for the pharma industry, has invested EUR 10.4 million to expand its plant in Bucharest. This will lead to a 45% growth in its annual production.
The factory was opened in 2008 and produces gelatin capsules for producers of generic and innovative drugs.
The company currently has 130 employees. It posted a turnover of EUR 11.4 million last year, same as in 2014, and a net profit of EUR 1.2 million, up 21.6% compared to 2014.
Qualicaps is the second largest producer of pharma capsules in Europe. It is owned by the Japanese holding Mitsubishi Chemical.
