Prognosis Commission: Romania's GDP will grow by 2.8%
The National Prognosis Commission (CNP) has upgraded its estimation on Romania’s GDP growth for 2015 to 2.8%, from a 2.5% forecast in the fall of 2014.
The GDP growth in 2014 is estimated at 2.9%, up 0.3 percentage points over the prognosis made last fall.
For this year, CNP estimates a nominal GDP of EUR 159.4 billion, whereas for 2014, one of EUR 151.4 billion.
The Commission foresees a 3% economic growth for 2016 and 3.3% for 2017.
The GDP in 2014 was 2.9% higher over 2013.
The International Monetary Fund recently forecasted that Romania’s economy would grow by 2.7% in 2015.
