Romania should reach the EUR 200 billion threshold for its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2018, according to the National Prognosis Commission.

This will happen even if the commission increased the exchange rate forecast from RON 4.59 /EUR to RON 4.65 per EUR.

Romania’s economic increase stays as previously estimated, at 6.1%. The nominal GDP should thus reach RON 930 billion.
