Punk rocker Iggy Pop cancels US concerts after breaking his leg during Romanian gig
Singer Iggy Pop, the leading vocals of the band The Stooges, had to postpone his next concerts in the US after breaking a pair of bones in his left foot while on stage in Romania. The singer will have to stay off his foot for six to eight weeks. The official announcement on his website here.
Iggy Pop and his band The Stooges headlined the Peninsula Festival in Romania on August 27. This was his first concert in Romania.
Iggy Pop is an 53-year old American singer, songwriter, musician, born in Muskegon, Michigan. By his real name James Newell “Jim” Osterberg, he is considered an influential innovator of punk rock, hard rock, and other styles of rock music. The artist recorded 16 solo albums, one with James Williamson, and 4 albums with his band, “Iggy and The Stooges”. Find more about the artist here.
