PwC consortium to recruit private management for state-owned Romanian transport companies
PwC Romania and law firm D&B David and Baias, together with headhunter George Butunoiu have won the consultancy contract to find private sector management for ten state owned Romanian companies owned by the country's Transport Ministry.
The consortium will recruit over 50 managers from the private sector to lead the state companies. The recruitment process is to be completed by the end of the year, according to PwC. “Improving efficiency, streamlining the processes, eliminating arrears and growing the value of the companies for their stakeholders, the Romanian tax payers, should be the main targets of the new private managers,” said PwC Romania Country Managing Partner Vasile Iuga. He also pointed out that the involvement of the private sector in the running of Romania's state owned firms was among the International Monetary Fund's key objectives for the country.
The consortium will recruit ten CEOs and 43 non-executive board members. PwC Romania's Human Resources Team is in charge of determining the duties and performance indicators for the recruits, as well as setting out performance related pay packages and bonuses. D&B David and Baias will handle the legal aspects related to the employment contracts, while the George Butunoiu Group is responsible for the selection and recruitment of candidates.
