Qatar Airways inaugurates Bucharest route
Qatar Airways has inaugurated the first direct flight connecting Romania and Qatar. The airline flies from Bucharest to Doha, but also to destinations like Bangkok, Denpasar, Dubai, Maldives and Melbourne. Qatar Airways operates four flights a week on the new route, according to their website. Flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, according to the Otopeni airport.
The airline has also added a new route connecting Doha to Budapest in Hungary and plans to open new routes this year: Brussels, Stuttgart and Aleppo in Syria. Its fleet comprises of 94 aircraft. It employees 13,000 people worldwide and has 6,000 subsidiaries across the world. Quatar Airways is half owned by the Government of State of Qatar, the rest of its shares being in the hands of private shareholders.
