Top-seeded Romanian tennis player Simona Halep became the first player eliminated from the WTA Finals, as she lost the match against Polish Agnieszka Radwanska 7-6 (5), 6-1 on Thursday, October 29. The game lasted around two hours.

Simona Halep was a finalist in her first WTA appearance last year. However, she lost the final to world’s number one Serena Williams.  

At this year’s WTA Finals, Halep beat Flavia Pennetta in her first match in Singapore (6-0, 6-3), but then lost the match against Russian Maria Sharapova (6-4, 6-4).

The Romanian is at number two in the WTA ranking of the best women’s tennis players in the world.
