Raiffeisen Bank officially moves local headquarters to tallest building in Romania
Raiffeisen Bank officially moved its headquarters in Romania to the recently finalized Sky Tower building, the tallest building in Romania. The building, on 37 floors above ground, five underground floors for parking and with 10 elevators is located at the crossroads between Barbu Vacarescu and Calea Floreasca streets. Sky Tower is 137 meters tall, exceeding Basarab Tower, which is 114 meters tall and which is used for testing elevators.
As many as 1,700 employees out of the total 5,300 staff of Raiffeisen Bank Romania will work in the same building, and it is for the first time in its Romanian history when the bank has the same headquarters for its central management, as well as for the group subsidiaries.
Raiffeisen's previous headquarters were in Charles de Gaulle Plaza. The new Sky Tower was built by Raiffeisen Evolution,which sold the project to Raiffeisen Property International GmbH.
Raiffeisen Bank Romania ended 2012 with a net profit of EUR 88 million,which was the highest profit on the Romanian banking market. End – 2012, it had a network of 525 units, and over 1,100 ATMs.
