The Orange Code warning for rain issued for the counties of Mehedinti, Gorj and Valcea last week-end will expand in the beginning of this week to the mountainous areas of Olt, Dolj and Arges counties, as well as for the basins of several rivers in Caras-Severin and Hunedoara, where flooding is possible. Other counties in the southwestern part of Romania could also be affected by heavy rain.

It will rain heavily in these regions in Monday and Tuesday, July 28 and 29, then the rain will stop on Wednesday, only to return on Thursday and Friday, July 31 and August 1.

On Monday, it will rain in in the hilly and mountainous regions in western and south – western Romania, and it will be hot in the rest of the country. Maximum temperatures will stay between 25 and 34 degrees Celsius, and minimum, between 12 and 22 degrees Celsius.

In Bucharest it will be hot, and windy in the second part of the day. Maximum temperatures will reach 33 degrees Celsius. The weather will be similar on Tuesday, July 29.
