Real opens unit east of Bucharest at Policolor
Retailer Real will open this Thursday a new unit in Bucharest on the premises of the former Policolor factory, East of Bucharest, the company has announced. Real Policolor, located on Theodor Pallady boulevard, will be accompanies by a Metro Cash & Carry unit and a do-it-yourself unit run by Obi. Real and Metro Cash & Carry are both part of the German Metro Group.
Real runs 24 stores in Romania. Its latest opening was in Ploiesti, after a EUR 23.8 million investment for a 7,700 sqm retail area. Real is headed in Romania by managing director Michel Lamoot.
The Theodor Pallady area of Bucharest is getting crowded with retailers. Another hypermarket, run by French Auchan, will be opened once the shopping park developer by cascade group and Alexander Hergan's Avrig 35 will complete work on the former Sicomed factory premises. Pallady Shopping Center will be finalized in 2012.
