Red warning for UV level on seaside: index reaches 8 out of maximum 11
The level of ultraviolet radiations will be at a high during this week-end on the Romanian sea side, so stay out of sun during peak hours. Meteorologists have issued a red warning for UV levels for this week-end (July 24, 25). The UV index in Dobrogea will reach values between 8 and 10, which is a very high level. The UV index will be of 7 in other cities in the country, so wherever you are in Romania, try to stay out of the sun for most of the day and use sunscreen lotion.
The UV index is an international estimation of the level of ultraviolet radiations on Earth. The index goes from 0 to 11, where 11 is the highest.
