24 January 2012

The Redundant Military Union in Romania will organize a protest and a march in Bucharest today (January 24). Around 10,000 people are expected to participate in the protest.

As a result, traffic is restricted in Bucharest until 14:30 on the road that links Paris street and Kiseleff Blvd., on the road connecting Lascar Catargiu Blvd. and Ion Mihalache Blvd., and on the road back from Lascar Catargiu Blvd. to Calea Victoriei street. Moreover, the traffic will also be restricted on three lanes on Aviatorilor Blvd., between Charles de Gaulle Square and Victoriei Square, only in the direction to Victoriei Square.

From 14:30 and 15:30 traffic will be restricted on the route: Victoriei Square - Aviatorilor Blvd. (on the three lanes) - Charles de Gaulle Square - Calea Dorobantilor (traffic lane 1) - Romanian Television headquarters, as well as on Emil Pangratti street.

Romania celebrates the Union of Romanian Principalities today (January 24), also known as the Small Union, which represents the unification of ancient states of Moldova and Tara Romaneasca.
