Regina Maria opens new EUR 1.7 mln medical campus in Romania
Private healthcare operator Regina Maria has inaugurated a 900-sqm medical campus in Targu Mures, in Romania’s Transylvania region, following a EUR 1.7 million investment.
The new campus offers 15 medical specialties, including allergology, infectious disease, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, nutrition and metabolism, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, rheumatology, and ophthalmology. Its team is made of 22 doctors.
“Since eight years who, when we entered Cluj and then Brasov, Transylvania became an area of strategic importance for Regina Maria. The units located in these two counties have crossed the threshold of some 260,000 patients in the last year, the figure representing nearly 20% of the total number of patients in our network,” said Fady Chreih, CEO Regina Maria.
The medical campus in Targu Mures also provides an imaging center, a center of occupational medicine, a pediatrics center, a center for obstetrics and gynecology, and a center for medical rehabilitation.
Regina Maria has more than 3,500 employees and collaborators in its 31 units located in Bucharest and the rest of the country. The healthcare operator serves some 1.4 million patients annually.
