Renault to manufacture three Romanian Dacia models in Argentina after USD 100 mln investment
Car maker Renault Argentina will invest USD 100 million (some EUR 92 million) in creating a new vehicle platform and providing the factory with the necessary equipment to manufacture the Renault Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway models, according to a statement of Renault Group.
The investment will be carried out over a period of 20 months, starting March 11.
Production of the Renault Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway will begin mid-2016, while the vehicles will go on sale in the last quarter of the same year.
Argentina is thus the seventh country where Renault will produce the Logan model, after India, Morocco, Russia, Colombia and Brazil.
Romanian Dacia expects lower production, after Sandero manufacturing moves to Morocco
