Restaurant and events boost Bucharest Hotel Epoque's turnover
Epoque Hotel, one of the best-rated hotels in Bucharest, registered a turnover of EUR 1.75 million in the first nine months of 2016, up 6% compared to the same period of last year.
Moreover, for the whole year, the hotel expects a turnover of EUR 2.4 million, 9% higher than last year.
The nine-month result was mainly supported by a 41% increase in revenues on the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), and an 11% growth for its à la carte restaurant.
In the first nine months of 2016, Epoque has operated with an average occupancy rate of 70% during weekdays, and 64% on weekends. Most of the hotel’s guests, namely 85%, are international travelers coming from Europe, Asia, and America. A large share of the guests comes from countries such as the U.S., UK, Israel, France, or Germany, according to a statement from the hotel.
"Our objectives for the end of 2016 and next year are increasing our F&B (food & beverage - e.n.) and events segment, as well as raising our ADR (average daily rate), thus maximizing the accommodation unit's productivity," said Diana Popescu, owner & CEO Epoque Hotel and L’Atelier-l’art culinaire.
Epoque Hotel is a five-star boutique hotel located close to Bucharest's Cismigiu Park. It has 45 suites, a French gastronomy restaurant, a winter garden, a SPA, and a conferences and events center.
