Real estate agency DTZ Echinox expects its turnover for 2011 to be up by 10 percent on the previous year, to around EUR 3 million, mainly due to demand from the retail sector in Romania.

For 2012, the company also estimates an increase of 10 percent. “It’s difficult to estimate the turnover this year, but we plan a constant increase considering the cost structure,” said Oana Iliescu (in picture), managing director of DTZ.

DTZ Echinox mediated a total area of 40,000 sqm in commercial space in 2011, while on the office market, the company has mediated transactions totaling over 29,000 sqm.

The real estate agency posted a turnover of EUR 2.8 million in 2010, up 10 percent compared to the EUR 2.5 million reported in 2009. The company currently has 60 employees.
