Belgian group Delhaize, which owns the retailer Mega Image, posted a EUR 3.1 billion turnover last year, up 3.2% year-on-year.

With 60% of the Belgian group’s 180 new stores opened in Romania, Mega Image was the most dynamic retailer in Romania and within the Delhaize group, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Mega Image reached a network of 410 stores in Romania after it bought 86 new units and 19 of the 20 stores owned by the local retailer Angst.

Delhaize operates in Romania under the brands Mega Image and Shop & Go.
