Romanian holding ROCA Industry takes over door maker Eco Euro Doors for EUR 9.8 mln
ROCA Industry, part of the Romanian group ROCA Investments, has completed the acquisition of a 70% stake in Eco Euro Doors (EED), the largest Romanian manufacturer of doors for residential construction. The value of the transaction was EUR 9.8 mln.
This is the second deal completed in the first part of the year by ROCA Industry.
With 27 years of experience in the market and more than 320,000 units sold in 2021, EEC boasted sales in excess of EUR 13 mln last year. The most recent estimate for the local door manufacturing sector was a total value of EUR 140 mln in 2020, with a CAGR of 6% between 2022-2025, according to Interbiz Research Consulting.
Half a year after it was set up by ROCA Investments, ROCA Industry holds in its portfolio BICO Industries, the first and the largest Romanian manufacturer of fibreglass mesh and the only local manufacturer of fibreglass reinforcement (70%) stake, BICO Industries’ Moldovan peer Terra Impex (100%), paints and varnishes maker Sarcom (100%) and Eco Euro Doors (70%). The holding is also in the process of finalizing the full takeover of steel products manufacturer Dial.
At the same time, the holding company has changed its name to ROCA Industry Holdingrock1. The company is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange's AeRO market under the ticket HOLDINGROCK1 and has a market capitalization of RON 180 mln (EUR 36.3 mln).
