Romania, 10th in the world for smartphone virus attacks
Romania is one of the first 10 countries with the highest risk of smartphone viruses, according to a ranking by Kaspersky Lab, quoted by Wall-Street.ro. This is due to the increasing number of smartphones, and to the higher number of virus attacks on mobile phones.
Romania comes 10th, after countries such as Vietnam, Greece, Kazakhstan, Poland, Armenia, Serbia, The Czech Republic, Morocco and Uzbekistan.
It is for the first time Romania is in this top 10, and the biggest problem was on the Android platform, with 98% of global attacks targeting apps on this platform. Unprotected WiFi networks are also dangerous for mobile phones, as cyber pirates can steal passwords, accounts and even card numbers.
