Romania has paid some EUR 150,000 to promote its tourism brand on Eurosport during the European Rally Championship at the Rally International du Valais in Switzerland. The contract was awarded in November this year, based on the lowest price offer, according to an announcement from e-licitatie.ro.

The rally took place between November 6 and 9. It is yet unclear what the criteria were to choose this international rally, and what sort of advertising the Romanian state had placed on Eurosport, as the Government only announced the general deal.
