Romania collects EUR 1.4 billion more in taxes
Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF increased its collection in the first four months of the year by EUR 1.4 billion year-on-year.
It collected EUR 14.8 billion, up 11% over the same period last year. It also exceeded by 6.56% the collection program in the budget.
In April 2015, its revenues amounted to EUR 4.2 billion, up 10.64% over April 2014.
The share of the revenues in the GDP for the first four months of the year went up from 8.87% to 9.34%.
The social security budget increased by 0.22% despite the 5% cut in social contributions (CAS). This means Romania managed to counterbalance the negative effect of reducing the CAS, according to ANAF.
