Romania inches up for competitiveness among 63 economies
Romania went up one place in the competitiveness ranking by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).
The country currently ranks 49th out of 63 economies, while its neighbors Hungary and Bulgaria rank 47th and 48th, respectively.
Romania fares better than the Slovak Republic, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine. The USA leads the ranking, followed by Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Netherlands, Switzerland.
The ranking compiles 258 indicators for national and European statistics, together with poll results on topics such as corruption, the environment and quality of life.
