Romania takes first place at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad in Turkey
Romanian students won two gold, three silver and one bronze medals at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Antalya, Turkey. Thus, following these excellent results, Romania topped the ranking of nations, the Ministry of Education announced.
“Great news tonight! Romania won first place in the countries ranking at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad for Seniors, held in Antalya, Turkey,” reads the ministry’s announcement on Facebook.
Romanian students David Andrei Anghel and Vlad-Titus Spataru grabbed gold medals at the Olympiad, while Andrei Moldovan, Robert Dragomirescu, and Toma Edward Torac won silver. The bronze medal went to Andrei Giovani Chiriță.
