The Ministry of Transport claims that it has submitted to the European Commission the project for the Bucharest Ring Road, which will cost RON 7.3 billion (EUR 1.6 billion), while the project for the suspended bridge over Danube at Braila is under preparation.

The Ministry of Transport sent on November 28, 2018 to the European Commission the "Integrated Infrastructure for the Orbital Zone of Bucharest" project, the ministry announced, according to local Adevarul.

The ministry together with the Romanian National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) are preparing the submission of the major "Suspended Bridge over the Danube in the Braila area" project with a total value of approximately EUR 554 million. This project, on the top of the other major projects already submitted to the EC, will lead the Ministry of Transport to be able to fully make use of the money earmarked to Romania for large infrastructure projects under the 2014-2020 EU budget.
