Romania grows industrial production output by 5.7% in September, above EU average

Romania grew its industrial production output in September by 5.7 percent compared to the same month of 2010. The same indicator grew by 2.2 percent on an average in the European Union, according to Eurostat. The same growth was recorded on average in the euro zone. The month-on-month evolution recorded a drop of 0.2 percent.

The biggest increases in industrial output were recorded in Latvia – 9.6 percent, Lithuania, with 8.3 percent and Poland, a 7.9 percent increase.

The biggest declines in industrial production output were recorded in Italy – down 2.7 percent, Greece – a drop of 2.7 percent and Denmark, down 2.2 percent.

The monthly evolution showed a decline of the industrial production output in Estonia – down 10.9 percent, Portugal – down 5.8 percent and Italy, down 4.8 percent. More details here.
