Romania’s Ministry of Culture is organizing a management contest for the National Library, which is currently led by Elena Tirziman, who took office in 2007, reports local Mediafax.

Candidates have to meet several conditions, such as: to have Romanian citizenship or to be a citizen of one of the EU member states, but with residence in Romania, to have full legal capacity, to have minimum three years experience in either management  or management training, to hold postgraduate librarianship studies. The candidate shouldn't have been convicted for any criminal or civil acts that would make them incompatible with the position, and shouldn't hold management position at another institution in Romania at the same time. Romanian language proficiency, both writing and speaking, is also required.

Candidates have to submit their application files and management plans to the Ministry of Culture until June 17, 16,00.
