Romania's online advertising market aims for EUR 50 mln this year
The total online advertising market in Romania reached about EUR 20.3 million in the first half of last year, up by 15% over the same period of 2016, according to the most recent edition of the Romanian Online Advertising Study (ROADS), carried out by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Romania) together with PwC Romania.
PwC officials estimate that the local online advertising market will go over the EUR 50 million threshold in 2018.
The programmatic advertising represented 19% of the total market value in the first half of 2017 while mobile advertising reached 42% of the total revenues.
Display embedded, display social media and search engine advertising are the most widely used. These formats drew 53% of the online advertising market in 2017.
