Romania’s operational leasing market could see 20% growth in 2012The operational leasing market in Romania is expected to increase by 15 to 20 percent in 2012, to a total of 43,000 vehicles, according to the Operational Leasing Companies Association (ASLO). "In 2012, given that the economy is expected to grow by up to 1 percent and the car market might maintain the same level as 2011, the operational leasing market could increase by about 15 to 20 percent due to cost reductions through outsourcing," said Bogdan Apahidean, President ASLO.

In 2011, Romania’s operational leasing market increased by 17 percent over 2010, to over 37,300 units. According to ASLO data, the top 5 member companies by number of managed vehicles includes: ALD Automotive - with an 18 percent market share and a fleet of 6,705 units, LeasePlan Romania - with a 17 percent market share and 6,267 units, Porsche Mobility - with a 16 percent market share, Arval Service Lease Romania - 12 percent market share, FMS - with 2,412 vehicles and a market share of 6 percent.

ASLO is a professional, non-governmental, non-profit, apolitical association founded on November 17, 2010.
